Typical age-related problems

Osteoarthritis of Major Joints

Knee, Hip Joint, Shoulder Joint. By age 65, radiographic signs of osteoarthritis are present in 80% of the population. Standard path: NSAIDs - hyaluronic acid - cortisone - joint replacement. MIBRAR breaks this cycle: cartilage regeneration instead of joint replacement.

Spinal Stenosis

Canal narrowing with nerve compression. Leg pain while walking (neurogenic claudication). Surgery (decompression/spinal fusion) is risky in elderly patients. MIBRAR: reduction of inflammation and edema, increase in effective lumen.

Osteoporosis and Its Consequences

Vertebral compression fractures, joint fragility. MIBRAR: stimulation of osteoblasts, acceleration of micropathologic fracture healing, joint regeneration in the setting of osteoporosis.

Rotator Cuff

Degenerative rotator cuff tears after 60 - in 30% of the population. Surgical repair in elderly: high re-tear rate (up to 50%). MIBRAR: regeneration of partial and small full-thickness tears.

Why MIBRAR is ideal for 60+

Without General Anesthesia

General anesthesia in elderly: increased risk of cognitive impairment, cardiovascular complications, pneumonia. MIBRAR: local anesthesia only. Patient remains conscious and communicates with the doctor.

Without Hospitalization

Hospitalization in elderly: risk of nosocomial infections, thromboembolism, disorientation. MIBRAR: outpatient, home the same day. Minimal disruption of daily routine.

Stem Cells Do Not Age

Lipogems® (adipose tissue) maintains high MSC concentration with age. Unlike bone marrow, where stem cell numbers decrease 10-fold by age 60, adipose tissue remains a rich source.

Delay of Joint Replacement

In patients 60-75 years, MIBRAR provides complete tissue regeneration with a lifelong effect. In stages I–III, it is a full alternative to joint replacement. Prosthesis has limited lifespan (15–20 years), so preserving the native joint is critically important.

Compatibility with Chronic Diseases

Safe with: diabetes, hypertension, CAD, arrhythmia, COPD, mild-moderate chronic kidney disease. Caution: anticoagulant therapy (coordinate discontinuation), immunosuppression.

Questions

Are there age restrictions?

No upper limit. Patients 70-85 years successfully undergo MIBRAR. Stem cells from adipose tissue retain function with age.

Can joint replacement be avoided?

For osteoarthritis stages 1–3 — yes. MIBRAR® provides complete tissue regeneration with a lifelong effect, making joint replacement unnecessary in most cases. For stage 4 — joint replacement is necessary.

Is MIBRAR® safe for patients with diabetes and hypertension?

Yes. Local anesthesia, no general anesthesia. Safe with controlled chronic diseases. Caution with anticoagulants - discontinuation must be coordinated.

How quickly do elderly patients recover?

Rest for 1-2 days. Walking without restrictions from day 3. Full regeneration effect within 3-6 months (slightly longer than in younger patients).
